SECTION I. SHORT TITLE

This Act may be cited as the “State Heraldry Act.”

SECTION II. ESTABLISHMENT

  1. The Commonwealth of Arcadia shall establish for itself an authority with the goal of establishing rules for heraldry within the Commonwealth bearing the name of the “Heraldic Authority of the Commonwealth of Arcadia”, hereinafter referred to as the “Heraldic Authority”.
  2. The Secretary of Arcadian Heraldry shall preside over the Heraldic Authority.

SECTION III. POWERS AND CONVENTIONS

  1. The Heraldic Authority shall hold the right to issue grants of arms to citizens of the Commonwealth of Arcadia as well as of the Republic of Krameria.
  2. Grants of arms by the Heraldic Authority shall be recognized within the borders of the Commonwealth of Arcadia.
  3. Any grant of arms by any other state of Krameria or by the Republic of Krameria in general shall be recognized as legitimate within the Commonwealth of Arcadia.
  4. Only grants of arms by the Commonwealth of Arcadia, other states of Krameria, or the Republic of Krameria in general shall be considered legal within the Commonwealth of Arcadia.
  5. The Heraldic Authority shall hold the right to establish its own conventions on Arcadian Heraldry without the necessity of senatorial approval.

SECTION IV. SEVERABILITY

Should any provision of this Act be deemed illegal or unconstitutional in a court of law, the remainder of the Act shall remain in effect.

SECTION V. ENACTMENT

Effective Date.–This Act shall come into effect immediately upon passage.
