Section 1. Short title

The short title of this Act is the “Federal Representation Act of 2026”.

Section 2. Severability

If any provision of this Act or the application of any provision of this Act to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, and the remainder of this Act, shall not be affected thereby.

Section 3. Election of Representatives

  1. This section shall only be applied at times when there exists a federal House of Representatives.
  2. Representatives of Latomé within the federal House of Representatives shall be elected every week as specified by federal law.

Section 4. Election of Senators

  1. This section shall only be applied at times when there exists a federal Senate.
  2. Senators representing the Grand Commonwealth of Latomé shall be elected every three weeks by the Grand Peer of Latomé.
  3. The Grand Peers shall then be given 24 hours to elect a Senator, who must however be a citizen of both Latomé and Krameria and also be further eligible per the constitutions of both Latomé and Krameria.
  4. The Governor shall be responsible for certifying that the election of the Senator has been done per this law and that the elected Senator is in fact eligible for election.
    1. No Senator may exercise his duties as such until the Governor has certified such.
  5. If after 24 hours the Grand Peer has not by a simple majority chosen a Senator, the Governor shall choose one of the candidates that received at least one vote.
    1. If failure to reach a majority is to occur because of an absolute tie between two or more candidates, the Governor shall only be able to choose between those candidates that are tied.
  6. The Governor shall after the certification of the election of the Senator notify the staff of the Republic of Krameria and the general public present within the server of the Grand Commonwealth of Latomé of the results of the election.
  7. The first election of a Senator shall be held on April 10th of the 2025th year of our Lord.

Section 5. Temporary Appointments

  1. If there is to arise a vacancy in one of the seats within the House of Representatives, the Governor shall fill the vacancy via temporary appointment until the next proper election is held.
  2. If there is to arise a vacancy in one of the seats within the Senate, the Governor shall fill the vacancy via temporary appointment.
    1. If the next scheduled election is more than a week away, the Grand Peer shall hold a special election for the vacant seat immediately after the Governor issues the temporary appointment.
    2. If the next scheduled election is less than 7 days away, the temporary appointee shall keep their seat until the proper election is held.

Section 6. Elections Generally

  1. Any and all elections for offices governing or representing the Grand Commonwealth of Latomé that have their votership reserved to that of the citizens of Latomé shall be held solely in the server of the Grand Commonwealth of Latomé, with such including but not being limited to the elections of:
    1. Governors,
    2. Lieutenant Governors,
    3. Senators,
    4. Representatives;
