MERIDIAN GROUP KRAMERIA & MERIDIAN TECHNOLOGIES v. THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF LATOMÉ & GOVERNOR FAWN OF LATOMÉ

Argued February 2026 Decided March 2, 2026

Meridian Technologies, a subsidiary of Meridian Group Krameria, was contracted by State Governor Fawn to create a university technology system for the State of Latomé. After submitting the final design draft to the State of Latomé, Meridian was informed that the Governor had no legal authority to sign a contract on behalf of the State. Impeachment was filed against the Governor, but he resigned before it could be passed. Meridian sued the State and the Governor for the payment of the agreed-upon fee by either the State or the Governor, whoever is liable. The State of Latomé argued the contract was not legally binding, as it was neither notarised nor signed by a person with valid authority to bind the State.

Held:

  1. The lawsuit is dismissed without prejudice for want of prosecution. </aside>
