Section I. Short title

The short title of this Amendment shall be “1st Amendment to the Constitution”

Section II. Amendment

1. The Grand Peer shall be of a semi-direct democratic nature. Any lawful resident of the Grand Commonwealth may choose to join the Grand Peer, if supported by the signatures of one other lawful resident who has not at that time by their signature supported another incumbent member of the Peer a letter of representation. If such a lawful resident wishes to then choose another member of the Peer to support, they must first publicly withdraw their assent from the presence of the previously supported Peer and only then can they sign in support of another.
2. For parliamentary decisions, all members of the Peer of Latomé shall retain one vote per signature of their letter of representation.

Section III. Implementation

This Amendment shall be implemented immediately upon being ratified by the people of the Grand Commonwealth of Latomé
