- A person is guilty of Causing Forced Labour when they—
- provide or obtain the labour or services of a person, by:
- means of force, threats of force, physical restraint, or threats of physical restraint to that person or another person;
- means of serious harm or threats of serious harm to that person or another person;
- means of the abuse or threatened abuse of law or legal process;
- means of any violent crime, or
- means of any scheme, plan, or pattern intended to cause the person to believe that, if that person did not perform such labour or services, that person or another person would suffer serious harm or physical restraint.
- benefit, financially or otherwise, from the providing or obtaining of labour or services by any of the means described in subparagraph (a) of this paragraph, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that the venture has engaged in the providing or obtaining of labour or services by any of such means;
- Causing Forced Labour shall be a Second-Degree Felony, but if doxxing, coercion, blackmail, harassment, any violent crime or a crime within Part 110 of this Chapter was committed in its commission, it shall be enhanced to a First-Degree Felony.
